Addis Ababa, August 16, 2023 (FBC) – Academics from China’s Peking University touted progress Ethiopia’s industrialization as encouraging.
The academics stated this during a discussion with Mr. Fitsum Ketema, Head of Transformation and Chief of the Office of the CEO at the Industrial Parks Development Corporation of Ethiopia (IPDC).
Mr. Fitsum highlighted the activities undertaken and plans in the development of industrial parks, industrialization, job creation, investment attraction and other related fields in Ethiopia.
He called on the Chinese academics to support and promote Ethiopia’s potential in the sector through their expertise in the field based on research in various international fora.
For ther part, the Perking University academics revealed that their university will conduct research on the development of industrial parks in Africa, in Ethiopia in particular.
During their stay in Ethiopia, the academics are expected to visit other similar economic institutions, including the Hawassa Industrial Park.
