Addis Ababa, June 6, 2024 (FBC) – The individual measures projects review meeting on the EU support to Ethiopia in the period 2021-2023 with a resource allocation of €339 million was held today, the Ministry of Finance stated.
The meeting has focused on interventions in the areas of health, education, food security, social protection, reconciliation, and peacebuilding, agriculture, response to climate shocks, support to persons displaced by conflict and natural disasters, and support for the recovery of micro, small and medium enterprises in the post-conflict areas.
The Individual Measures projects follow a unique implementation modality, as most of them are primarily implemented by third parties such as UN agencies, EU Member States, and international NGOs with the EU’s financial support.
The review meeting was conducted in the presence of Ms. Semereta Sewasaw, State Minister of Finance, and Mr. Roberto Schiliro, Acting Head of Cooperation of the European Union Delegation to Ethiopia, and attended by representatives of sectoral ministries that are the primary beneficiaries of EU’s Individual Measures interventions.
