Addis Ababa, March 27, 2022 (FBC) – The Government of Brazil awards the Order of Rio Branco (Ordem de Rio Branco) to Ethiopian Airlines for the spectacular service the Airlines rendered to Brazil during the high-time of the Coronavirus Pandemic.
Tewolde GebreMariam, former CEO of Ethiopian Airlines receives the highest order medal.
The director of operations for Ethiopian Airlines for Brazil and South America, Girum Abebe, and two other staff members of the Airlines also received medals. The Order of Rio Branco is bestowed annually to people who provide meritorious service to Brazil.
