Addis Ababa, May 30, 2024 (FBC) – Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC) and Pakistan’s Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the latter to produce export-standard sports apparel in Ethiopia.
It is noted that this move is aimed at strengthening the economic ties between Ethiopia and Pakistan.
Note that an 80-member delegation from Pakistan, which includes trade and investment delegates, has been in Ethiopia since the past weekend to explore investment opportunities and other business ventures.
The delegation’s visit to Addis Ababa also marked the second Ethiopia-Pakistan Business Forum, which was held earlier this week.
The delegates had the opportunity to visit various industrial parks in Ethiopia and expressed their keen interest in investing in the industrial parks within their respective sectors.
