Reforms Made To Enhance Chinese Investors’ Engagement In Industrial Parks: IPDC

Addis Ababa, August 1, 2024 (FBC) – Fisseha Yitagessu (PhD), CEO of the Ethiopian Industrial Parks Development Corporation (IPDC), announced ongoing efforts to enhance the involvement of Chinese investors in Ethiopia’s industrial parks.

Speaking at the annual Ethiopia-China Business Forum in Addis Ababa, he noted a noticeable increase in Chinese investment in both industrial parks and free trade zones across the country.

Yitagessu highlighted the implementation of institutional reforms aimed at bolstering investor participation. The Ethiopia-China Business Forum serves as a vital platform to strengthen trade and investment relations between the two nations.

The forum gathered high-ranking government officials, business leaders, and representatives from various Chinese provinces, underscoring the significance of this partnership.

Additionally, a delegation of over 90 Chinese investors is scheduled to visit the Bole Lemi Industrial Park tomorrow for an on-site evaluation.
